Trust Associate Governance role at Fern Hill Primary School

About this role

Kingston Educational Trust is seeking a volunteer to join its Fern Hill Local Academy Committee as a Trust Associate.

The Local Academy Committee has up to 10 members comprising two Parent Trust Associates, a Staff Trust Associate and other members recruited for their skills, knowledge and experience. Collectively it holds school leaders to account and monitors performance in a number of key areas, in particular standards, safeguarding, Special Educational Needs and stakeholders, and it reports directly to the board of Kingston Educational Trust. The Committee meets half termly at the school, currently at 9:15-11:15 am on Wednesday mornings. A full induction programme and governance training is provided. As well as attending the meetings, a commitment of around 1.5-2 hours should be allowed to read the papers and to prepare for each meeting and further time would be needed to complete training and to attend an annual trust wide Development Day in September and two further training and development evenings.
